Boston Violence

It's hard to live in or around Boston and not be puzzled by the increasing gun violence in the city. I remember during the 90's Boston was applauded for making gun violence, which is predominantly perpetrated by young people, almost non-existent. This weekend five people were shot, all survived. It has gotten to the point where shootings are now just a part of the news. I hope that city officials and community leaders can make a difference again. I continually feel that the lauded idea of the "New Boston" is creating an ignorance to the cities real problems. It is wonderful that we have young and multi-cultural people trying to lead, but there are a few neighborhoods that are being left behind, and shooting eacother as a result.
